MOM, DO YOU REMEMBER?
I made this book as a love letter and apology to my mother for her 60th birthday.
The project began after I scanned hundreds of photos from her childhood in Vietnam, at a refugee camp in Hong Kong (where she met and married my dad), and her life after emigrating to the United States.
Designed during a year of estrangement, the title asks, “Me co nho khong?” In English, this has two translations: “Do you remember?” and “Do you miss it?”
